CLEVELAND CRUNCH & AMARILLO BOMBERS ARE SET TO KICK OFF CHAMPIONSHIP WEEKEND IN SEMI-FINAL MATCHUP

(CLEVELAND, Ohio) July 13, 2021 - The #2 Cleveland Crunch will take on the #3 Amarillo Bombers on Saturday, July 17 at 4:00 PM EST/3:00 PM CST in a Major Arena Soccer League 2 (M2) semi-final matchup at Hartman Arena in Park City, Kansas. The game will be the first of two semi-final matches on Saturday, with the #1 Wichita Wings and #4 Chicago Mustangs set to kick off at 8:00 PM EST/7:00 PM CST. The winning teams will advance to the M2 Championship on Sunday, July 18.

The Crunch, who made its return to professional indoor soccer this year, is considered to be one of the most prolific indoor soccer franchises of all time--notoriously known for its championship run of the 1990s. From the start, the organization strived to set high expectations and build a winning culture that represented the legacy that its predecessors left behind.

"The standard was set immediately… from the moment this team was assembled, the expectation was winning titles," said goalkeeper #24 Marijo Musa when asked about the team's mindset going into championship weekend in an interview with Kevan Arnold on the ‘Voice of the Land’ podcast Sunday night.

The Crunch made their presence known this season finishing 7-3 and boasting a league-leading +38 goal differential. Now, for the first time in nearly 20 years, the Crunch find themselves back in the playoffs for a chance to make a run at another championship.
