CLEVELAND CRUNCH AND WICKLIFFE PUBLIC LIBRARY PARTNER FOR THIRD CONSECUTIVE SUMMER READING PROGRAM

The Cleveland Crunch are proud to announce their continued partnership with Wickliffe Public Library for their annual Summer Reading Program, marking the third consecutive summer the organizations have teamed up to promote literacy, education, and community engagement throughout Northeast Ohio.

This year’s Summer Reading theme, “Unearth a Story,” officially begins Monday, June 1 and features reading challenges, incentives, contests, and family-friendly programming for all ages throughout the summer months. The children’s and young adult programs will run through Friday, July 24, while the adult program continues through Saturday, August 29.

The Summer Reading Program has become a major community tradition, drawing more than 3,000 participants last year alone. Designed to help prevent summer learning loss while encouraging reading for enjoyment and lifelong learning, the program provides opportunities for children, teens, and adults to stay engaged and connected through books and educational activities.

The partnership will officially kick off during the Summer Reading Program Kickoff Party on Monday, June 1 from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Wickliffe Public Library. Families can enjoy stories, dancing, games, crafts, and dinosaur-themed fun as the community celebrates the start of summer reading. The Cleveland Crunch mascot, Kickster, will also be in attendance to meet families and help celebrate the event.

As part of the continued partnership, the Cleveland Crunch will once again provide special prizes for Summer Reading participants.

Children and young adult participants will have the opportunity to win:

  • Free admission for themselves and one guest to the Cleveland Crunch Youth Soccer Camp at Orlando Park in Wickliffe on July 11-12 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

  • Two tickets to a Cleveland Crunch home game during the 2026-2027 Major League Indoor Soccer season

Adult participants will have the chance to win:

  • Cleveland Crunch season tickets for the 2026-2027 season

The Summer Reading Program includes:

  • Children’s Summer Reading: Unearth a Story (Birth through completed 3rd grade)

  • Tweens Summer Reading: Unearth a Story (4th-8th grade)

  • Adult Summer Reading Program: Unearth a Story
