CRUNCH FALL SHORT IN SEASON OPENER AT RAPID CITY FC
The Cleveland Crunch faced a challenging start to the 2023-24 Major League Indoor Soccer season with a road match against Rapid City FC, resulting in a hard-fought 6-2 loss.
Both teams showed strong defense, maintaining a tied score throughout the majority of the first half. The Crunch broke the deadlock just before halftime with a goal from Dave Jordan, putting them in a 1-0 lead.
The game shifted in the second half as Rapid City FC scored three goals, leading 3-1 heading into the final quarter. Admir Suljevic scored for the Crunch in the fourth, but three more goals from Rapid City FC sealed their victory at 6-2.
Bryan Wolanski, Omar Najjar and Bryan Kern all made their first appearance for the Crunch Sunday’s match adding a fresh perspective team.
