CLEVELAND CRUNCH FALL SHORT TO OMAHA KINGS FC

(Omaha, NE) June 6, 2021 – The Cleveland Crunch fell short in a 5-3 loss against the Omaha Kings FC on Sunday. 

The Crunch was the first to score ten minutes into the first quarter, with a goal from Louis Kastelic. The second quarter consisted of two goals from the Omaha Kings FC to take the lead but was soon followed by a goal for the Crunch as Ryan Minick found the back of the net off a pass from Chris Cvecko. The first half ended in a tie 2-2. 

Omaha kicked off the second half scoring just five minutes into the third quarter. After battling to tie the score up again, Cleveland finally scored when Louis Kastelic found the feet of Cvecko who buried it in the back of the net. Omaha scored just a minute later to regain their lead. The fourth quarter went scoreless for ten minutes until the Omaha Kings scored to end the match at 5-3. 

The Cleveland Crunch ends the regular season with a 7-3 record and will head to Wichita, KS on July 17-18 for the Major Arena Soccer League 2 “Championship Weekend.”
