CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Cleveland Crunch will open their home season with two games this month at the International Exposition Center.

The Crunch – who compete in Major League Indoor Soccer - will play the Detroit Waza at 7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 28, and then kick off at 1 p.m. against the Rapid City FC on Sunday, Jan. 29.

The Crunch, who play a 12-game schedule, are 2-1.

Prior to its home opener, the Cleveland Crunch will retire Zoran Karic’s No. 16 jersey. The team is planning to retire Hector Marinaro’s No. 21 at another game this season.

The two were stalwarts of Crunch teams from the past. Marinaro was a 14-time All-Star and six-time league MVP. Karic, a nine-time All-Star, helped lead the Crunch to three championships in the 1990s. The 5-foot, 9-inch Yugoslavian-born forward was inducted into the Indoor Soccer Hall of Fame in 2019 along with Marinaro.

Tickets are available via ticketswift.com starting at $15. Parking is $10. Doors will open at 6:15 p.m. for the opener.

The convention center is at 1 I-X Center Dr., Cleveland.
