CLEVELAND CRUNCH PARTNERS WITH PMHA TO EMPOWER INDIVIDUALS THROUGH SOCCER CLINICS

by Andriana Ruscitto

Cleveland, Ohio - The Cleveland Crunch is excited to announce its partnership with Portage Metropolitan Housing Authority (PMHA), an organization dedicated to meeting the housing needs of low-income families and individuals in Portage County. Through this partnership, the Cleveland Crunch and PHMA will host two free soccer clinics conducted by Cleveland Crunch players for PMHA Public Housing residents and FSS participants. The soccer clinics will be designed to foster a safe and inclusive environment for participants while promoting physical activity and camaraderie.

“PMHA is very excited to partner with the Cleveland Crunch to offer youth who reside in our Public Housing properties an opportunity to learn soccer skills from some of our area’s best professional indoor soccer players,” said Carolyn Budd, Special Programs Manager at PMHA. “This is a unique collaboration and an incredible chance for youth of all ages and all skill levels to learn how to play soccer, sharpen existing soccer skills, engage in exercise via fun outdoor games, and receive mentorship from professional athletes, right in their own backyard. We appreciate the Cleveland Crunch’s willingness to be an enriching presence in our community, and we are very grateful to the Crunch for partnering with us this summer.”

"It is part of our mission as an organization, to make the game of soccer accessible to all individuals and developing a partnership with PMHA gives us another avenue to do so,” said Luciano V. Ruscitto, Cleveland Crunch managing partner. “We are excited to provide the participants of Cleveland Crunch and PMHA soccer clinics with valuable skills and experiences that will resonate with them for years to come.”
