CRUNCH SCORE 5 IN THE 4TH QUARTER; DEFEAT CINCINNATI SWERVE 11-3 TO REMAIN UNBEATEN
February 5, 2022 (Cleveland, Ohio) - A five goal fourth quarter propelled the Crunch to an 11-3 victory over the Cincinnati Swerve on Saturday night at the Game Time Training Center in Cincinnati, OH. With the win, the Crunch improve to 6-0 on the season and remain in 1st in place in the MASL 2 Great Lakes Division.
It was a physical game and defensive battle throughout the match; however, the high-powered Cleveland Crunch offense eventually became too much to handle for the Swerve defense. The Crunch had a total of seven different players find the back of the net. The Captain, David Jordan, led all scorers with 4 goals and 1 assist, Gabriel Pewu continued his run of form scoring 2 goals, Chris Cvecko, Sami Mutemwa, Hunter Johnson, Austin Horton and Bobi Cancar added one goal each and the Crunch hit double digit goals for the fourth time this season. Ryan Minick added two assists and Goalkeeper Liam McIntosh, who made his first start of the season, had a fantastic game in net for the Crunch recording nine saves and allowing just three goals. Bobi Cancar and David Jordan earned the MetroHealth 'Men of the Match' honors for their contributions on both ends of the pitch!
