CRUNCH TO HOST DETROIT WAZA AND RAPID CITY FC FOR HOME OPENING WEEKEND AT IX CENTER

CLEVELAND, OH - The Cleveland Crunch will host the Detroit Waza at the IX Center, Jan. 28 for its 2022-23 Major League Indoor Soccer season home opener, and will take on the Rapid City FC at 1 p.m. the following day, Jan. 29. 

The Cleveland Crunch (2-1) are coming off two consecutive wins and are looking to keep the momentum going against the Detroit Waza (0-2). In its last matchup Dec. 19, the Crunch defeated the Waza 7-4 at the Detroit City Fieldhouse. 

Prior to its home opener Jan. 28, the Cleveland Crunch will retire jersey number #16 Zoran Karic. Karic, a 9x All-Star, helped lead the Crunch to three championships in the 1990s. The Crunch also plans to retire jersey number #21 Hector Marinaro, a 14x All-Star and 6x league MVP, who also helped lead the Crunch to three championships, at a later date. The Crunch organization is excited to officially retire these two jersey numbers to honor and commemorate the achievements of these two great players.
