Cleveland, Ohio, Nov. 23, 2022 - The Cleveland Crunch and Greater Cleveland Food Bank are joining forces to fight hunger in Northeast, Ohio.

The Crunch is partnering with the Greater Cleveland Food Bank to host an intrasquad scrimmage from 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Dec. 2 at the Soccer Sportsplex in North Olmsted.

The intrasquad scrimmage will be free to the public, and the Crunch encourages attendees to bring non-perishable food items, which will be donated to the Greater Cleveland Food Bank.

“We are very excited to partner with the Greater Cleveland Food Bank and to be able to provide them with the necessary items needed to help serve the community,” said Luciano Ruscitto, Cleveland Crunch managing partner. “We encourage all attendees to join the Food Bank in the fight against hunger December 2.”

The top ten donations the Greater Cleveland Food Bank needs the most are as follows: beans; peanut butter; canned or boxed entrees; pasta sauce (low sodium); 100% juice; cereal (hot or cold); canned protein (like chicken or tuna); whole grain rice & pasta; and canned fruits & veggies.

Monetary donations to the Greater Cleveland Food Bank are also greatly appreciated to help the organization fulfill community needs.

Any individual that brings two or more non-perishable food items will be entered into a raffle to win a free Cleveland Crunch t-shirt!
